Limits to check

• In Gemini Notebook's source-grounded chat, Google says citations use direct quotes, text, and images from selected sources, and selecting one opens the quote in context. Pro and Ultra desktop agentic chat can search the web and work with or without sources. This profile has not tested citation accuracy or completeness, scanned-PDF and OCR quality, conflict handling, or retrieval across long or maximum-size source collections; those remain unknown.
• Each notebook is independent. Standard, Plus, and Pro allow 100, 200, and 500 notebooks; 50, 100, and 300 sources per notebook; and 50, 200, and 500 chats per day, respectively. Deep Research allows 10 uses per month, 3 per day, and 20 per day on those plans. General source limits are 500,000 words or 200 MB; Google Slides are limited to 100 slides and Sheets to 100,000 tokens. Google labels usage limits subject to change.
• Imports do not preserve every part of the original. Web URLs contribute only HTML page text, not images, embedded videos, or nested pages. YouTube requires a public captioned video and contributes only its transcript; local audio is transcribed. Google files omit comments and footnotes. Drive sources sync when opened and generally every few minutes. Gemini Notebook cannot edit or delete originals. Exported Docs and Sheets do not sync back or inherit notebook permissions.
• Notebook content is not used to directly train Google's foundational AI models unless you submit feedback. For personal accounts, feedback and its included prompts, sources, uploads, and outputs can be examined by people and retained for up to three years after being disconnected from the account. For Workspace and Education accounts, Google says people do not review uploads, queries, or model responses—even when thumbs feedback is submitted—and those items are not used to train AI models.
• Notebook chats opened in Gemini Apps may use notebook sources, web search, and other tools, and follow Gemini Apps activity and privacy rules. Turning off or deleting Gemini Apps activity does not delete data in Gemini Notebook; Gemini chat threads added to a notebook can remain visible to notebook collaborators.
• A shared notebook's restricted chat view hides sources and artifacts but does not revoke the viewer's underlying access to the notebook content.
• Google's chat Help says chat history is retained privately until you delete it. Google's Workspace product page says Gemini Notebook does not keep a history of chat questions and responses. Google does not explain the conflict; confirm the behavior in the account you would use.
• The mobile apps support fewer source types and do not yet generate or show notes, mind maps, reports, or data tables. Google recommends the desktop experience for the full feature set.
