Questions to settle

  1. How many generations does the plan cover for your chosen media types?
  2. Does the feature use an Adobe or partner model, and is it labeled beta?

Limits to check

  • Paid plans include unlimited access to standard image features such as Generative Fill. Standard includes 2,000 generative credits per month. At Adobe's current Firefly Video rates, that covers twenty 5-second generations at 540p, eight at 720p, or four at 1080p. Higher tiers include more credits; Premium includes 50,000 credits plus unlimited Firefly Video Model generations. After a Premium user exhausts those credits, Text to Video and Image to Video jobs enter a background queue with no stated completion time; up to 20 jobs can be queued.
  • Monthly generative credits reset on the billing date and do not roll over. Partner-model access and included Adobe apps vary by plan.
  • Adobe labels Firefly video editor beta. It currently supports Chrome and Edge; Firefox, Safari, and other browsers may not provide every feature.
  • Adobe says outputs from its Firefly models may be used commercially and that it does not claim ownership of user inputs or outputs. Commercial-use permission is not IP indemnity. Adobe's Firefly product description says coverage applies only when the customer agreement links to that page and the Firefly feature, surface, qualifying plan, and export event are eligible; beta, trial, and non-Adobe-model features are excluded. Its current public partner-model supplemental-coverage list names Google and OpenAI models but does not list Runway. Coverage depends on the signed agreement. You are responsible for deciding whether a partner model is appropriate for a project; when you use one, Adobe shares the prompt and any reference image or video needed for generation with that provider. Adobe says content in its apps is not used to train Adobe or partner generative AI models; Adobe Stock submissions are treated separately.
