Limits to check

• The Free plan includes 3 Pro Searches per day and 1 Research query per month.
• Perplexity's plan comparison labels Pro's consumer search and research allowances ‘average use’ and Max's ‘advanced use’ under weekly or monthly limits, but gives no counts. Its main hub calls Pro Search unlimited; the pages do not explain the difference.
• Uploaded files are limited to 40 MB each. Perplexity says it analyzes short files in full but extracts what it considers the most important parts from long files; it does not publish the cutoff. File and model access differ by plan. Research mode selects its model combination automatically; you cannot manually choose a specific model.
• Asset creation is available on paid plans. Perplexity documents include automatic citations; the company does not make that citation claim for spreadsheets, presentations, or apps.
• For individual Free, Pro, and Max accounts, AI Data Retention is enabled by default and Perplexity may use collected data to train its models unless you turn it off. The opt-out applies only to data collected afterward; previously collected training data cannot be removed. Perplexity says enterprise data is never used or retained for training.
