Most of us leave a meeting with a few important points, rather than a complete account. Granola makes those points an input. That is an interesting place to put AI: filling in context around what you thought mattered. It is a workflow distinction, not proof of better accuracy.
Granola says its desktop app captures microphone and system audio without a meeting bot. It cannot isolate individual applications, so other playing audio can enter the transcript. Transcription needs a supported app; the browser can display and edit existing notes.
The company describes starting and stopping notes on a watch, then reviewing them on a phone or computer. This is an announcement, not our product test.
